The Wellington Utilities Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide a reliable supply of superior quality drinking water and dependable and environmentally safe waste water service to approximately 56,000 residents in the Wellington Utility service area.

Continually Upgrading Quality

Utilizing the most up-to-date technologies to provide high-quality drinking water and wastewater service for the needs of Wellington residents, the Department is constantly improving and upgrading facilities.

These technologies not only keep Wellington on the cutting edge of the water industry, but provide our customers with the best product and service possible.

Improving Service to Customers

To inform customers about the quality of their drinking water, the Department began publishing and mailing an annual water quality report to each customer yearly. The report provides detailed information about the extensive testing performed to ensure safety and quality.

Improving the Environment

Peaceful Waters Sanctuary - 30 acres of constructed wetlands that are used to recycle treated water from Wellington water reclamation -- is one of the innovative components in the Department's water reclamation program.

In addition to recycling water, the wetlands provide wildlife habitat that has attracted more than 150 different species of birds as well as alligators, rabbits, turtles, otters, foxes and other creatures found in a healthy South Florida wetland ecosystem.

Best Water, Best Service & Best Environmental Stewardship

With quality that exceeds federal and state standards, state-of-the-art technology, and a focus on customer service, the Wellington Utilities Department takes pride in the level of service it is able to provide for its customers.

Innovation and forward-thinking management philosophies come together to form a state-of-the-art utilities department.  This ensures that its customers will always have an abundant supply of fresh, high-quality drinking water for the future and an environmentally safe and reliable wastewater service.
