Youth Leagues

Spring Little League Baseball – Ages 4 to 16*

Registration has ended for this program. This baseball program will be played under official Little League rules. Coaches, sponsors

and volunteers are needed. Applications for these positions will be available on the scheduled registration dates and times. Divisions close as they reach capacity. Late registrations will go on a waiting list. A copy of the birth certificate is required along with 2 forms of residential identification (i.e.: Drivers License, Utility bill, etc.) at time of registration.

Season: Season runs February 2019 through May 2019. Practices begin mid-February. Games begin February 23rd (1-2 games per week, and 1-2 practices per week). All schedules are subject to change. Any division that has fewer than 4 teams may be subject to inter-league play between other Little League chartered cities within Palm Beach County.

 

 

Girls Basketball – Ages 6 to 15*

Registration Deadline is Friday, February 8th or as divisions fill.

Season runs February to May 2019, and games begin in March. Games are played at Village Park (2 games per week, 1 practice per week). Late registrations will go on a waiting list. Register early to ensure your spot! All schedules subject to change. Volunteer coaches needed.

Registration has ended for this program. All levels welcome! All players, except future stars, must attend evaluations (dates and times in flyer). Pitching evaluations take place 45 min prior to each evaluation time. Practices /games are held 2-3 times per week. Coaches and Assistant Coaches are needed.

children with a basic knowledge of the game of lacrosse through fun games and activities. Program begins Monday, April 15th. Practices will be held at Village Park. Volunteer coaches are needed.

Sports Camps

Spring Break Sports Camp – Ages 6 to 13

This camp will teach, educate, and entertain your child, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned ball player. Campers will play different sports throughout the day including basketball, flag football, soccer, kickball, and other recreational games. Campers will also be able to showoff their new skills in our end of the week game. Campers must bring a bagged non-refrigerated lunch, and should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. 

Camp Includes: Structured activities followed by daily sportsmanship prizes and awards. A Building Up Sports Academy T-Shirt, an Award Ceremony and Sports Medal.

WSC Elite Spring Break Soccer Camp

Ages 8 to 18

This skills camp will be directed by Wellington Soccer Club’s highly trained and experienced Director of Coaching, Patrick Zoete. Mr. Zoete and his experienced group of soccer professionals will provide an outstanding education-based soccer camp. 

Camp will include: Technical and tactical sessions, daily 2-hour goal keep specific training, and individual evaluations at the end of camp. 

All participants must wear shin guards and non-metal cleats. They should also bring their own ball, water bottle, and lunch. All participants will receive a T-shirt.

Wellington Cougars All-Star Cheerleading

Ages 3 to 18

Competitive cheerleading tryouts required ($25 tryout fee payable to instructor). Tryouts for 2017–18 season held in May. All-star cheerleading is a year-round sport. If you're looking for both a fun and competitive atmosphere, the Cougars are for you.

Martial Arts

HapKiDo (Self-Defense) – Ages 10 to Adult

It’s safe, practical and effective. Lose weight and stay in shape, for both women and men. Learn at your own speed. This class includes an extensive variety of joint locks, kicks, strikes, take downs, and disarming techniques. Each student will need to purchase an annual membership ($40 initial fee, $30 to renew) with the International HapKiDo Federation. This fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

Classes will highlight a range of golf skills and coach children through various life lessons. Students will walk away having not only learned about the golf swing, rules, etiquette, and elements of a golf hole, but also how to integrate honesty, perseverance, and leadership in life. Soccer Shots – Ages 2 and 3*

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication.

Divisions:

Mini (2 years old)*—Soccer Shots Mini is a high energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling, and the basic rules of playing the game. Children will learn to love soccer through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement!

Classic (3 years old)*—Soccer Shots Classic utilizes creative imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation!

Wrestling

Wrestling – Ages 5 to 18 (Grades K–12)

Competitive team program for all experience levels. This session will focus on freestyle wrestling. Wrestling shoes are required. Each participant is required to join AAU Wrestling, a $16 annual membership, payable to the instructor.
