Career
Tanya Quickel serves as the Deputy Village Manager for Wellington. Quickel is charged with managing the Village’s annual operating budget, and strengthening and aligning administrative and financial functions with Wellington’s core missions. In this role, Quickel oversees a broad range of departments including:
- Budget
- Communications
- Finance
- Information technology
- Purchasing and contracting
Background
Quickel joined Wellington in 2013 having previously worked for Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department in Financial Services, Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District as Deputy Director, Indian Trail Improvement District as District Manager, and Assistant County Manager for Horry County in South Carolina. Prior to working in local government, Quickel worked in accounting and commercial and residential lending.
Education
Quickel received her Bachelor of Business degree (Business Administration) from the University of Georgia. Additionally, she has passed the Certified Public Accountants exam and has received the Certified District Manager designation from Barry University.
