Mr. Schofield began his career with the South Florida Water Management District while attending Florida Atlantic University, working primarily in a regulatory capacity. After leaving SFWMD
, he spent nearly two decades in the private sector as a planner specializing in environmental and water projects. Before joining Wellington, Paul served as Royal Palm Beach's Planning and Zoning Director. Paul and his wife Karen have lived in the western communities since 1974.
In 2001, Mr. Schofield joined Wellington as the Planning, Zoning and Building Director. In 2003, he became the Director of Community Services. He became the Village Manager in 2008.
Paul has an extensive background in both the public and private sectors having served as a Chief Executive in both. Paul is an urban planner by profession, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners; a Credentialed Manager through the International City and County Managers Association, and a Certified District Manager through the Florida Association of Special Districts, he has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
