• For ages 15 and younger
• Registration opens at 8 AM - look for the blue tents
• Review of Tournament Rules 8:30 AM 
• Tournament 9 AM to 11 AM
• Awards and Fish Tales 11 AM to 11:30 AM
  
  

This year’s free fishing tournament will be held at Village Park (11700 Pierson Road), and is presented by the Village of Wellington in conjunction with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Building Up Sports Academy. 

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing rod (a limited supply of fishing rods will be available to use for those who don’t have their own).

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place based on a point system of fish caught and released (all species) in each age group: 

• 6 and under
• ages 7 to 9
• ages 10 to 12
• ages 13 to 15
  
  

Rules

1. Parents are encouraged to attend and watch the excitement, but no one over the age of 15 is allowed to fish or assist the children fishing other than to help bait their hooks and remove their catches.
2. Bait will be provided. Participants can also bring their own bait — no live shiners. 
3. No boats
