Beginning on Monday, June 3rd, Wellington will offer expanded hours for the Village’s open play pickleball courts, located on the outdoor roller hockey rink at its Village Park Athletics Complex (11700 Pierson Road). Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines the elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, into a lively, competitive game for all ages and abilities.
During the summer months, courts will be available for open play Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Tuesdays and Fridays, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Players are welcome to drop-in on a first come, first serve basis, and must bring their own paddle and balls.
Due to summer programming, pickleball courts located at the Neil S. Hirsch Boys & Girls Club (1080 Wellington Trace), will not be available after Friday, May 31st. For more information on the Boys & Girls Club program, call (561) 791-4102.
