Wellington continues to monitor Hurricane Isaias. Our community remains under a hurricane warning (hurricane conditions are expected within 36 hours). Palm Beach County issued a State of Local Emergency beginning July 30, 2020.
Now is the time to make last-minute preparations for the storm. Heavy winds and rain are forecast for our area as early as Saturday night and Sunday morning. Given the potential for debris on roads, please avoid driving during these hours. Please do not leave your home unless necessary.
Waste Collection Suspended
NO WASTE COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND. The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County has suspended waste collection this weekend in anticipating of Hurricane Isaias. This includes household waste, recycling, and bulk pickup.
Do not place any debris at the curb after a tropical storm watch/warning or hurricane watch/warning has been issued and before a storm impacts our community. If we have already conducted your normal residential yard waste pickup for this week and you leave additional yard waste prior to your next scheduled pickup, we will not be able to pick it up until after the storm passes.
All Wellington parks and facilities will be closed Saturday, August 1st through Sunday, August 2nd. Normal hours of operation are expected to resume on Monday, August 3rd. For more information on Wellington parks and facilities, visit our Parks & Facilities webpage.
