During the month of September, International Peace Day is celebrated across the country and around the world. Each year, Wellington and the Wellington Rotary Club host an International World Peace Day Ceremony. The ceremony takes place at the Rotary Peace Park, located at the intersection of Royal Fern Drive and Birkdale Drive. The ceremony commemorates and strengthens the ideals of peace both within, and among, all nations and peoples.
