Lifeguard Training & Certification

Junior Lifeguard – Ages 10 to 14

Do you like to volunteer? Are you interested in becoming a Lifeguard but aren’t 15? If you are between the ages of 10 and 14, Junior Lifeguarding may be for you! 

Learn the basics of lifeguarding, surveillance, and how to assist at the pool. If you enjoy helping others and need volunteer hours for your school, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Session Information

  • Monday, March 23rd through Thursday, March 26th
  • 10 AM to 1 PM 

Cost (Resident & Non-Resident)

$60 per participant, per session

Lifeguard Certification Classes

This class teaches entry-level participants the expertise needed to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies, and to provide care until EMS personnel arrive. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be certified in: 

  • CPR/AED 
  • First Aid
  • Lifeguarding

Sessions

Lifeguard certification classes will be offered in February, March, and May. Participants must be able to attend all four class dates, per session, to complete the certification.

February Class Dates

  • Thursday, February 20th, 4 pm to 9 pm
  • Friday, February 21st, 4 pm to 9 pm
  • Saturday, February 22nd, 9 am to 5 pm
  • Sunday, February 23rd, 9 am to 5 pm

March Class Dates

  • Monday, March 23rd, 9 am to 5 pm
  • Tuesday, March 24th, 9 am to 5 pm  
  • Wednesday, March 25th, 9 am to 5 pm  
  • Thursday, March 26th, 9 am to 5 pm

May Class Dates

  • Thursday, May 21st, 4 pm to 9 pm
  • Friday, May 22nd, 4 pm to 9 pm
  • Saturday, May 23rd, 9 am to 5 pm 
  • Sunday, May 24th, 9 am to 5 pm

Registration – $235

To register, participants must be at least 15 years of age and be able to: 

  • Swim 300 yards continuously
  • Swim 25 yards and pick up a brick from a water depth of 10 feet and swim it 25 yards back to the wall in under 1 minute and 40 seconds 
  • Tread water for 2 minutes without the use of hands 

Registration fee includes the course, certification, and class materials.
