Lifeguard Training & Certification

Junior Lifeguard – Ages 10 to 14

Do you like to volunteer? Are you interested in becoming a Lifeguard but aren’t 15? If you are between the ages of 10 and 14,

Junior Lifeguarding may be for you! You will learn the basics of lifeguarding, surveillance, and how you can assist at the pool. If you enjoy helping others and need volunteer hours for your school, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Days / Time

  • Monday through Thursday
  • 10 am to 1 pm

Sessions

  • June 3 to June 6
  • June 17 to June 20
  • July 8 to July 11
  • July 22 to July 25
  • August 5 to August 8

Cost (Resident & Non-Resident)

$60 per participant, per session

Lifeguard Certification Classes

This class teaches entry-level participants the expertise needed to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies, and to provide care until EMS personnel arrive. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be certified in: 

  • CPR/AED 
  • First Aid
  • Lifeguarding. 

Class Dates / Times:

Participants must be able to attend all four class dates to complete the certification. Classes are held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on each of the dates listed below. 

  • Monday, July 1st
  • Tuesday, July 2nd
  • Wednesday, July 3rd
  • Friday, July 5th

Registration – $235

To register, participants must be at least 15 years of age and be able to swim 300 yards continuously, and pick up a brick from a water depth of 10 feet. Registration fee includes the course, certification, and class materials.
