Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is a type of waste that holds potential threats to the public, solid waste workers and the environment. Some examples of this include pesticides, cleaning products, pool chemicals, paint, used oil, propane tanks, and gasoline. It is crucial to dispose of household hazardous waste at a proper facility and not within your household garbage container.

Hazardous waste can be brought to the transfer station closest to our area for proper disposal. The address is:

The following materials are not accepted at transfer stations and must be disposed of at the Solid Waste Authority Landfill:

  • Construction and demolition debris
  • Dead animals
  • Fill
  • Land clearing debris
  • Miscellaneous items that require special handling
  • Mulch
  • Sludge
  • Tires
  • Trailers
