Palm Beach County Fire Rescue
Wellington has its Fire/EMS services provided by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR). PBCFR is an all-hazards department with the ability to respond to any emergency 24 hours a day. There are four stations located throughout the Village. Each station has six firefighters assigned to it 24 hours a day. The engine and rescue are staffed by three firefighters, each having a minimum of two paramedics, with the third being either an emergency medical technician or a paramedic. Both engines and rescues can provide advanced life support services, which means you may see a fire truck arrive at your house before a rescue truck which allows for potential life-saving measures to be initiated without delay. These four stations are part of Battalion 2, whose command staff consist of an EMS Captain, a Battalion Chief, and a District Chief located at Station 28 in Royal Palm Beach.
For further information about Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, go to PBCFR.ORG. Fire Rescue Headquarters can be reached during regular business hours at (561) 616-7000.
