Mission

The Education Committee shall monitor and develop actions which may impact Wellington schools by performing the following duties:

  • Coordinate with local businesses to offer technical and vocational training
  • Coordinate with the Parks and Recreation Department to address cooperative use of parks and recreation facilities
  • Develop recommendations for forwarding to elected officials
  • Establish relationships with the PBC School Board to effectively lobby for Wellington's children
  • Gather input on issues that may affect the children in Wellington schools
  • Plan a strategy to eliminate portables
  • Study and project new school requirements
