Wellington's Water Treatment Plant (WTP) uses both conventional Lime Softening and Reverse Osmosis (RO) treatment processor, with a total treatment capacity of 11 million gallons per day, to produce drinking water. Source water for the treatment process is groundwater.
Water Reclamation Facility
Wellington uses a state-of-the-art tertiary wastewater treatment process to treat wastewater to reclaimed water quality standards and to produce class AA biosolids, a readily usable fertilizer. The capacity of Wellington's water reclamation facility is 6.5 million gallons per day.
