Community Service Opportunity - "Call For Tutors"
Wellington is committed to making our great hometown a place where everyone can live, learn, work, and play. As part of that commitment, our Community Service Department has developed a new afterschool tutoring program. Helping Youth by Providing Empowerment or "HYPE," provides assistance and empowerment for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, who require additional academic support. The program is a partnership between the Village and local schools.
Wellington seeks local teachers, high school students, and residents to become tutoring volunteers.
Wellington Elementary Tutoring Program
Students attending Wellington Elementary and the Neil S. Hirsch Boys and Girls Club are eligible to attend our academic program specifically designed for these students. Transportation is provided from Wellington Elementary via the Village of Wellington Bus to the Boys and Girls Club. From 3:30PM to 5:30PM, tutoring is conducted by staff and certified Palm Beach District teachers.
