Fair Housing Month

April is National Fair Housing Month in Florida. The Village Council issued a proclamation declaring April Fair Housing Month in the Village of Wellington.

The Fair Housing Act was passed in 1968 by President Lyndon Johnson. This law was signed to protect Americans from discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on color, race, national origin, and religion and the law later extended to sex, disability, and family status.

Did you know Palm Beach County passed an ordinance to require a 60-day notice for rent increases and terminations?
