The Village of Wellington's Walk & Talk program provides an opportunity for staff to meet with residents and provide information on current community programming. The Village also uses this program as an opportunity to assess the condition and issues within a neighborhood. Staff collects statistical information to assess overall satisfaction and perception of safety within the targeted neighborhoods. Residents asked to provide feedback, which is used to develop programs and projects that address community issues.
Improvements have been made in reporting through the utilization of iPads and survey analytics. Additional advances have been made through collaboration with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the development of an application that will track individual neighborhood results and provide mapping capabilities.
