                          STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP

                                         FISCAL YEAR 2022/2023

The Village of Wellington is an entitlement recipient of Florida State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds made available by the State of Florida. The Village of Wellington is projected to receive up to $414,125 for its Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/2023.

Consistent with the Local Housing Assistant Plan (LHAP) adopted by the Village of Wellington, the Village encourages citizens to apply for its Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/2023 SHIP Program to assist in homeownership and rental assistance to very low, low and moderate income families. The type of assistance are for owner-occupied rehabilitation, emergency replacement, and rent assistance. Applicants will be ranked for assistance based on a first-qualified, first-served basis with priorities for Special Needs, Essential Services Personnel, and income groups, subject to funding availability.

Currently the application portal is open to extremely low to very low-income households. Copies of the applications are available online at www.wellingtonfl.gov and at the Village of Wellington Municipal Complex, 12300 Forest Hill Boulevard Wellington, FL 33414, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Citizens are encouraged to apply by submitting applications to the Planning, Zoning and Building Department at 12300 Forest Hill Boulevard, 33414 or to grants@wellingtonfl.gov.
