2010 WELLINGTON LEARN TO ROW DAY

The Florida Rowing Center will sponsor the 2010 Wellington Learn to Row Day on Thursday, April 22nd, from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. and 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. on Lake Wellington. Instructor Gordon Hamilton will offer a free sculling lesson to the public. An introduction to the total-body sport of rowing a single scull will be presented at the dock, and then each participant will have the opportunity to get into a boat under the guidance of an experienced coach.

Participants should dress in comfortable but not baggy clothes and plan to arrive by 2:15 p.m. or 3:15 p.m. at the boathouse behind the Wellington Community Center. The lesson will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. and is limited to 5 participants at each session, ages 14 and older.
