JOB SEEKER AND BUSINESS OWNER EDUCATIONAL FORUM

Wellington has partnered with Workforce Alliance, the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, and the Palms West Chamber of Commerce to offer a forum for residents and business owners on February 11, 2010 at the Wellington Community Center located at 12165 W. Forest Hill Boulevard.
Residents who are seeking employment will receive an overview of the services that are available through Workforce Alliance from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Businesses in the community looking for employees will receive information from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The main purpose will be to provide information regarding the ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) or Stimulus funds available in an effort to bolster the economy.
In addition, beginning at 2:30 p.m. the Mobile Unit from Workforce Alliance that houses 12 computers will be on site to assist job seekers with the enrollment and application process. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling 561-791-4796.
