Wellington is pleased to announce its’ ground breaking ceremony for the Municipal Complex building. The 54,000 square foot building will be the home of the Village’s Council Chambers and Administrative offices and serve as the centerpiece for the new Town Center. The building, designed by STH Architects, will be built by The Weitz Construction Company.
The ceremony will begin at the future municipal complex site (adjacent to the Wellington Community Center north parking lot, located at 12165 Forest Hill Blvd.) on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 6:30-7:00 p.m. The December 8th Council meeting will be opened at the site with the ground breaking ceremony immediately following. The Council meeting will reconvene inside the Wellington Community Center at approximately 7 p.m. Please join us for this exciting event in Wellington’s history – a new beginning for A Great Hometown!
