WELLINGTON FEEDS 99 FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY

November 25, 2009

Food Drive

The Safe Neighborhoods Office has partnered with local worship centers, the Citizens Volunteer Organization, businesses and local residents for a Hometown Holiday Food Drive to benefit Wellington families. Ninety-nine (99) families received a turkey and all of the trimmings, including a homemade pumpkin pie! Over forty volunteers from the community, including the Wellington Radio Club, participated in the packaging and delivery of the boxes.

This was an excellent opportunity to help Wellington families and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for! Residents showed their commitment to their neighbors and their community as we enter the holiday season!
