Meter Services

Wellington water meters are read electronically. This allows us to utilize our meter service employees efficiently. Wellington has over 20,000 water meters that are read monthly. Meter services currently has 5 full time meter readers and customer service representatives. These employees are responsible for:

• Meter reading
• Customer service
• Water turn ons
• Water turn offs
• Disconnects for non payment
• Reconnect for new service
• Maintenance to the reading system
