Public Safety

Wellington has a contract with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for police services. The PBSO runs a local substation at the original Wellington Mall (12794 W. Forest Hill Blvd.), 688-5447 and the non-emergency number is 688-5419. There are 57 sworn officers and 58 civilian employees (including crossing guards) at the substation. The commanding officer is Captain Jay Hart. Wellington spends $6.9 million/year on police service.

Wellington works closely with both the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Beach Country Fire Rescue to maintain the highest level of services for the residents of Wellington. For more information on either of these agencies, please click on the links provided below.
