Wellington has a contract with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for police services. The PBSO runs a local substation at the original Wellington Mall (12794 W. Forest Hill Blvd.), 688-5447 and the non-emergency number is 688-5419. There are 57 sworn officers and 58 civilian employees (including crossing guards) at the substation. The commanding officer is Captain Jay Hart. Wellington spends $6.9 million/year on police service.
