AARP Smart Driver Course – Ages 50+

The Smart Driver course consists of a new, easy-to-follow format that incorporates adult learning principles, features reader-friendly print types, full-color pages, an easy-to-follow format and videos to supplement course content. Best of all, you may be eligible to get an insurance discount for smart driving!

Senior Symposiums

Wellington is partnering with local organizations and non-profits to expand the informational and educational services provided to our older adult population. These FREE informative sessions are delivered in a "lunch and learn" format. Symposiums are free and open to Wellington residents over 55 and their caregivers. Lunch will be served, but registration is required. Sessions will be held on the last Tuesday of the month, at 11:30 am, at the Wellington Community Center. For registration, contact Meridith Tuckwood at (561) 753-2476.

Humana's Early Bird Bingo – Ages 55+

Rise and shine to head to the Community Center on the 4th Wednesday of each month for Humana’s Early Bird Bingo. Game prizes are sponsored by Humana. Doors open at 9:30 am, and games begin at 10:00 am.

A Matter of Balance – Ages 55+

"Good for You" Seminars – Ages 55+

Join Palms West Hospital representatives at the Wellington Community Center as they discuss the important health topics of today. Lunch will be provided, but registration is REQUIRED at least 48 hours prior. For registration, contact Meridith Tuckwood at (561) 753-2476.

Chair Yoga  – Ages 55+

Whatever your age, ability, or level of activity, you can benefit from Chair Yoga. This practice is geared towards seniors, older adults, and those who lack mobility due to physical limitations, injuries, RA, etc. Gain energy, flexibility, balance and focus through modified poses, using a chair. This will strengthen and stretch your muscles as well as calm your mind through the use of Asanas, which are adaptations of Hatha Yoga poses.
