Community Services provides a number of community grant opportunities that support neighborhood improvement and increase community engagement. Eligibility for these grants requires a level of participation and investment from the property owner. Currently, Community Services offers three grant opportunities; Thoroughfare Hedge Grant is available to residents whose homes are located on one of the major thoroughfares within the Village and are in need of remediating dead or deteriorating hedges located on their property; Beautiful Wellington Tier IV grant provides assistance to homeowners within targeted neighborhoods as well as members of active Neighborhood Watch groups who are in need of repairing the aesthetics of their property; Neighbors of Wellington grant is only available to active Neighborhood Watch Groups that have held two meetings within the last six months and are interested in hosting a neighborhood block party. The Thoroughfare grant and the Beautiful Wellington grants are matching grants that require a 50% match from the property owner.
