Horse Waste Survey
Wellington has been monitoring State Environmental Standards over the past few years. We continue to see rules and legislation being drafted that would prohibit ground application of waste water sludge and animal waste. Seeing these regulatory changes on the horizon we need to explore alternatives to ground applications. Additionally transportation costs are increasing which will continue to effect disposal cost. In order to be proactive we need to understand the magnitude of the horse waste being generated on a yearly and seasonal basis.  We need your assistance in estimating this volume of waste being generated in Wellington.

We would ask that you please provide the information for the questions listed on the attached questionnaire. This questionnaire can be completed anonymously on the Wellington web site at http://wellingtonfl.gov/community/equestrian. Wellington plans to share a summary of industry totals and averages, of the responses received.
