Wellington's New City Hall

ellington has a new City Hall! Residents are now able to pay a water bill, apply for a permit, attend a council meeting or speak with a city representative in one centrally located area.

New construction in the municipal complex includes a 54,000 square foot Governmental Center known as City Hall, a state of the art Amphitheater, a barrier-free playground called Scott’s Place, a renovated Aquatics Complex, a soon to be Patriot Memorial that will home to a steel beam from the World Trade Center and Wellington’s Community Center which will be renovated in 2011. Roadway improvements to Forest Hill Boulevard, which is the main corridor running through Wellington to and from City Hall, will serve as a great compliment the new municipal complex.

ellington needed a centrally located area where residents could pay a water bill, apply for a permit, attend a Council hearing or simply speak with a city representative. A centrally located area to bring their family and friends to enjoy a playground, go swimming in a new state of the art pool or attend a concert. Wellington's Council approved development of city owned vacant land on Forest Hill Boulevard to establish a unique identity. The vacant land would soon be known as The Community Center.

The City Hall is designed to provide residents a convenient and exciting new place to work and play. New construction consists of a 54,000 square foot Governmental Center, a state of the art Amphitheater, and barrier-free playground called Scott's Place for all to enjoy. The Community Center will be home to the newly renovated Aquatics Complex, a Patriot's Memorial and a soon to be renovated Community Center. Roadway improvements to Forest Hill Boulevard, which is the main corridor running through Wellington to and from City Hall, will serve as a great compliment to Wellington's new municipal complex.
